WHAT THE FOUNDATION STANDS FOR

The RonStrong Foundation was formed in 2018 to honor the life and legacy of Ron Nieto who passed away after a three year battle with cancer. The principle focus of the Foundation is to support cancer treatment and research with an emphasis on supporting charitable organizations benefiting individuals residing in the Big Bend area of North Florida. As Ron was passionate about improving secondary education in Florida,  a secondary focus of the Foundation is to support Florida charities benefiting students in Florida.

The RonStong Foundation is a Florida not for profit corporation that has been designated as a 501(c)(3) public charity by the IRS. The Foundation is also registered with the State of Florida as a charitable organization authorized to solicit charitable contributions. (Registration # CH56570)

Husband. Father. Friend. IRONMAN. Ron loved competing in triathlons, especially with his friends and family. There was always the next race - especially when the reward was an obnoxiously hoppy IPA waiting at the end of a long, hard workout. Life is short. Live. Love. Laugh and lead a life worth living - a testimony Ron gave us all.

Ron was blessed to live in Florida's Capital City. He received his chemotherapy treatment at the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center, the only cancer program in the Big Bend region to offer hematology/oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology and gynecologic oncology, the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center is known for its highly-trained medical team and for delivering the most powerful treatment options, all under one roof.  The Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center is a beneficiary of the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Foundation.
